RECAP
2009 has been a stimulating and most inspiring year for Keleketla people! We thank all partners, collaborators and friends for being part of our journey. Gladly, much of what have been done is documented on this here blog – the relevance self-publishing.
We are excited about Keleketla 2010 projects. This year we explore education and knowledge through media arts projects. We strive to stay true to Keleketla principles of:
participation – dialogue – collaboration
ON THE HORIZON
Some of the upcoming projects include:
- Audio Media project in collaboration with Durban Sings
- A couple of theatre/music/video interventions around the 2010 event
- A large scale, 2 year multidisciplinary project exploring heritage and lived history
The regular Stokvel, Khanya College Winter School and the Allied Media Conference contributions will march forth. So will a structured after school programme.
With the boost from the Keleketla Art Auction, look out for a revamped Keleketla! in the second quarter of 2010 featuring:
LIBRARY * INTERNET HUBS * SOUND STUDIO * PROJECT SPACE * DARK ROOM * REHEARSAL SPACE * EXHIBITION & PERFORMANCE SPACE
Opportunities to look forward to in the short term include calls for project proposals, internships, volunteer programmes and studio space

Artist line up is diverse – ska, hip-hop, deep house and jazz. Look out for announcements participating artists and schedule on this blog.
SOUND|SKAPE is a fringe event to THE BONFIRE OF THE VANITIES, a visual art show by artists from South Africa and Holland opening:

THE BONFIRE OF THE VANITIES
